Practical

Measuring the sample site on the Monocacy River in northern Frederick County. The object of the trip was to chart the movement of invasive "rusty" crayfish. This the the 7th year of the study in conjunction with NRS.

Setting the nets for the crayfish and beating the water.
Examining and collecting the first samples

Instructor Ron Albaugh identifying and monitoring the count

Moving to Piney Creek for samples in a tributary of the Monocacy

Piney Creek was deeper.
